CALLIGRAPHY

12 pm – 12:30 pm

Come and join our beginners class to learn how to hold a calligraphy brush properly and help keep the tradition of handwriting alive in the age of the electronic keyboard.

Beautiful handwriting has always been admired in every culture. However calligraphy, literally meaning “beautiful writing,” has in China, from a very early period been considered as a supreme visual art form and valued on a par with painting and sculpture, and ranked alongside poetry as a means of self-expression and cultivation.

Hung-Ga Kung FuKUNG FU

The Yee’s Hung Ga Kung Fu Academy offers the complete martial system of Hung Ga Kung Fu, an authentic martial art that can be traced back to the Shaolin Temple in Southern China.
The training will include self-defence, fitness, hand and weapon forms, Gi Gong, and body conditioning.
Although known for its powerful close-range techniques, and its utilization of the 5 animals and 5 elements of traditional Shaolin philosophy, this system offers mental and spiritual growth achieved through rigorous internal and external training, proven life management philosophies and silent introspection.

If you attended the end of year show, you will have seen and heard the choir perform. Learn to sing traditional Mandarin songs where you will get a chance to perform at the school and other special events.

DANCE (TBC)

For the first time this year we are planning to offer a Chinese Traditional Dance class open to students in all levels.
